Deliver Meals and a Smile-Volunteer Drivers Needed

Help deliver hot meals and visit frail, homebound seniors in our community. Additional volunteer drivers are needed to help with existing delivery routes and to support new routes in areas with a growing need. Normally volunteers help deliver meals one morning a week which takes two to three hours. Volunteer drivers also check on the status of our seniors to insure they are well and safe during their brief but friendly visit. Areas in need of volunteer drivers are:

  • South Sacramento (Florin, Freeport, Fruitridge, Broadway, and Pocket areas)
  • Elk Grove and Galt
  • Rancho Cordova and Citrus Heights

New volunteer drivers start with our Volunteer Orientation that covers program information, essential training and volunteer requirements. Our next orientation is August 20th at 10 a.m. The orientation will be held in our office, 7311 Greenhaven Drive Suite 190 Sacramento, CA 95831.
